Hey there,

I’m Amanda.

First of all, thank you for checking out my website. It means a lot.

As a Sun Valley Photographer, I offer many services including portraits, senior photos, engagement photos, wedding photography, and specializing in adventure photography.

I started my photography business in 2012 when I graduated high school and after getting a degree in the Fine Arts of Film and Photography from Montana State I have since been featured in magazines, became an internationally published photographer as well as have had prints accepted into juried exhibitions across Europe and the United States.

While I don’t take myself too seriously, I take my work very seriously. I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and I help people tell their stories through my lens. I like to de-clutter, destress and focus on my subjects in ways that provide a unique experience.

The Firefighter

I like to say I fell into firefighting. I took a few online courses, was hired by a family friend, and had my bags packed to head to my first wildland fire. Starting at 26 years old, a 110lb female, I felt late to the game and far out of my league. However, after my first fire in California on the Sequoia National Forest, I was hooked. I was running circles around the boys and learning new things hourly. It was completely unexcepted love at first flame. I love the travel, the diversity of people, and of course, the hours or days of absolute bored mixed with moments of sheer terror. A bonus to all of this is the epic photography shots as well as the photojournalistic opportunities it provides.

Here in the mountains of Idaho we have some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth. And I'm here to help you capture them for your own memories. I work with you to help find the perfect backdrop for your portraits, whether it be one of Idaho's many beautiful lakes and rivers, a romantic proposal location or even a spot for your wedding day. And if you're feeling adventurous, my background in adventure photography gives me the ability to take those moments from your mountain trips and turn them into amazing photos you'll want to tell everyone about! My work has been published in SVPN, Fireline Magazine as featured on the cover, Idaho Mountain Express, Opsis Magazine, the University of Columbia Literary Review, and Eddie Bauer online.
